Prayer Requests

Meet Corinne
Hi friends! My name is Corinne and soon, I will be moving to a country that- for the first time in history- is open. Women have legal freedoms for the first time, and now more than ever, there is an openness to the freedom of the Gospel. Women are speaking up about their past and current hurts, and God is longing to mend the relationships between men and women. People are beginning to wake up to the revelation of the Gospel! God is meeting people through dreams and visions of the man in white. Just as the physical veil of the burqa has lifted and is no longer required to be worn, be praying that Arabs would have the veil lifted from their eyes, and would see Jesus as the son of God. I believe that the people of the Arab Gulf are meant to be ministers to the Lord, worshipping Him in spirit and in truth. As they obey the call to prayer five times a day, I am praying that one day they would all bow to Jesus as their king instead. I’m beyond excited for what God is doing in this region, and I’m so honored that I get to be a part of it first hand. In a land of people bowing down and praying to a god that doesn’t hear them or love them, my team will get to join in with Heaven in contending for this place on the ground.
There are so many exciting things happening in the Middle East, and so much opportunity for my team to partake in. For the first while, we will primarily be learning Arabic and adjusting to the new and foreign culture. We have plans to steward a prayer room, help with short term ORs, bring an expression of God to fitness and training, and continue to gather and disciple women. My dream is that we will be able to not only gather local women, but train them to go and multiply in surrounding nations and places I would not be able to get into. It’s not just about one nation- it’s about all of the Middle East and the Muslim world coming to the revelation that Jesus is Lord. My prayer is that we will see moves of God in family and relational dynamics, prayer and worship, government, and that the truth of Jesus being more than a prophet would settle in their hearts and minds.
Please pray that as we minister to women through our gatherings, that there would be true discipleship & hunger for the Presence of God! Much of my team has been feeling that there is a new kind of glory awaiting people in the Middle East. My team also needs much prayer as we are continuing to hurdle finances and support raising (as the cost of living is much higher in the Arab Gulf than other places), and the future challenge of learning Arabic and working through culture shock. It has been a challenging season of preparing and building support teams, but we still remain excited and hopeful for our lives in the Middle East, and the glory that is to come. God’s timing is perfect and we are learning now more than ever how to trust God with every part of our lives- especially in the things we cannot control.
God is undeniably moving in the Muslim world. More people in the last 20 years have come to Jesus in the Muslim world than the 1400 years of combined history before it. It’s happening right now and we get to live in this historic time together! This is the region of the world that Jesus himself walked on in the flesh. What an honor I carry as we continue to contend and believe for the Middle East together.
